Abstract: Based on the business performance and market value of the company, Salesforce was rated as the most innovative company for the year 2014 by Forbes (A leading American business magazine). Salesforce had retained its position since 2011. Though there was no any immediate threat to the performance of the company, market participants were skeptical about the sustainability of Salesforce’s innovation practices in the long run. Therefore, this case study focuses on the process of innovation at Salesforce, role of management in encouraging innovations and provides a scope for discussion on the opportunities and threats that Salesforce was expected to face in the long run.
